edinburgh - The perfect girly getaway!

Nothing can beat a weekend in Edinburgh, its abundance of attractions, culture, friendliness and sophistication make it an absolute joy to visit either for the first or the fiftieth time.
Within Edinburgh there are quirky and interesting ‘villages’ in their own right. The West End, Stockbridge and Bruntsfield are all within easy reach. Streets favoured by locals packed with remarkable shops are Stafford Street and William Street, Ark Angel and Sam Thomas. For first timers, take a guided tour on a hop on/hop off double decker bus. From this point you will visit the The Royal Mile, one of the most famous streets in the world in the historical heart of the city offering pubs, bars and restaurants.
Edinburgh Castle is the city’s leading attraction and instantly recognisable. Take a guided tour and drink in the history and the atmosphere of the castle. Join one of the costume performer events and if you have not seen the castle before, do allow enough time, there’s so much to see. Holyrood is also worth a visit, as one of the official residences of the Queen, parts of the palace being open to the public. And not forgetting Scottish Parliament, The Royal Yacht Britannia, The Royal Botanic Gardens and much much more.
For an evening with a difference, join one of the fantastic ghost tours of the city after dark, the guides are genuine talented performers and you’ll be convinced you are not alone and get great comedy thrown in for good measure; perhaps you should precede the ghost tour with one of the fabulous Scottish Whiskey experiences.
Harvey Nichols sits in Edinburgh’s stylish centre and nearby Multress Walk is home of the world famous designer labels. Right on George Street there is a divine mixture of sophisticated shops and fabulous bars for that well-needed break. Take a shopping trip to Princes Street for high street brands or visit the funky ‘one off’ boutiques of New Town and West End.
